DevOps Engineer - Fresher

About the Role

Vijay Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (VS-Solutions) is seeking enthusiastic and motivated freshers to join our DevOps team in Bangalore. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, containerization, testing, and deployment practices. The selected candidates will work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to support reliable and scalable software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, maintaining, and monitoring CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, and deployment processes.
• Support the deployment and management of applications using Docker containers and containerization best practices.
• Assist in provisioning and configuring cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Learn and contribute to Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate automated testing into continuous integration workflows.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, identify basic issues, and support troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain technical documentation for deployment procedures, infrastructure configurations, and DevOps processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Freshers or candidates with internship, academic project, or training experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Software Engineering are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, and deployment workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and cloud platforms in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• DevOps, AWS, Azure, Docker, Terraform, or cloud-related certifications are preferred.
• Exposure to GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps through academic projects or internships.
• Basic knowledge of Linux commands and shell scripting.
• Experience working on personal, academic, or open-source projects involving cloud deployment or automation.
