QA Testing Intern

About the Role

Vijay Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (VS-Solutions) is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented freshers for QA Testing Internship opportunities in Hyderabad. This internship is designed for candidates who want to build a strong foundation in software quality assurance, manual testing, defect tracking, and testing best practices while working with experienced technology professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in understanding functional requirements, user stories, and application workflows.
• Create and execute basic test cases and test scenarios for web and software applications.
• Perform manual testing to identify functional, usability, regression, and compatibility issues.
• Log, track, and retest defects using assigned defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, QA team members, and project stakeholders to clarify issues and validate fixes.
• Support the preparation of test documentation, including test cases, test reports, and defect summaries.
• Learn and follow established QA processes, testing standards, and quality best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or pursuing final year graduation in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Freshers or candidates with internship/project exposure in software testing are eligible.
• Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic projects involving web, mobile, or software application testing.
• Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
• Exposure to bug tracking or test management tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar platforms.
• Completion of a certification or online course in software testing or QA fundamentals.
